A dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist approved as Mounjaro/Zepbound. Achieves up to 22.5% body weight loss, the highest of approved therapies.
How it works

Community reviews of Tirzepatide
- recovery_former rated it 4/5 - Tirzepatide quieted my appetite fast: The biggest change for me was how quietly my appetite dropped. After about 8 weeks, I was no longer thinking about food all day, which made it easier to keep my weight moving the right way without feeling like I was white-knuckling it. I am in my 40s, working as a physician assistant in Canada, and long clinic days plus winter kept my eating sloppy, eh. Tirzepatide seemed to take the edge off that. I had a bit of nausea early on, nothing dramatic, just enough to notice. For me, that one issue was small compared with the payoff, so I would give it 4 stars.
- restless_vet rated it 5/5 - Three weeks in, I finally felt in control: I’m a West Coast yoga instructor and RN, and I tried tirzepatide because my schedule was all over the place, my training was stalling, and I wanted my hunger to stop running the show. In about 3 weeks, I had a very real drop in appetite and I was way less snacky at night. The scale moved enough to get my attention, and my workouts felt easier because I wasn’t fighting food noise all day. I did get some GI weirdness, but for me it was worth it.
- restless_nomad rated it 4/5 - body recomposition during long clinic shifts: i tried tirzepatide after a rough stretch of 12 hour shifts, stress eating, and my training going nowhere. as an rn and analytical chemist in mexico, i wanted my appetite to stop running the whole day. for me, it made meals feel smaller and easier to skip between cases, and over about 12 weeks i lost about 8 kg. i felt calmer around food, fwiw. the only caveat was a few days of queasiness after dose increases, so i had to go slow.
- grinder_daily rated it 5/5 - Three weeks in and the scale finally moved: I’m a grad student on the East Coast, and between long desk days, hospital shifts, and trying to stay half sane, tirzepatide honestly fit the season I was in. Week 1 I mostly just noticed I got full stupid fast. By week 2 the random snacky noise in my head was way quieter, and by week 3 I was down about 6 lbs. My stomach was a little touchy at first, but for me the tradeoff was absolutely worth it.
- runner_aaron rated it 4/5 - Cut the post-holiday creep, finally: After a rough stretch of marking, rugby training, and too many takeaways in SA, I ran tirzepatide for about 10 weeks. I dropped 8 kg and my appetite chilled right out, which helped heaps. The only annoying bit was feeling a bit flat on some mornings, but for me it was a solid 4/5.
- nof1317 rated it 2/5 - Helped the scale, messed with my long runs: I tried tirzepatide for about 12 weeks because I’m on my feet all day as a PT and I race ultras, so I was hoping it would make cutting a little easier without wrecking training. Basically it did blunt my appetite, and that part was real, but the way it fit into my life was rough. On East Coast summer long runs, I felt kind of flat and queasy if I pushed breakfast too late, and a couple workdays I just had zero interest in eating enough after clinic. For me, the tradeoff was bad enough that I stopped. Could just be my body, but it was disappointing.
