Kisspeptin-10 (HPG Axis) Research Guide
Full name: Kisspeptin-10 (Metastin 45-54)
A hypothalamic neuropeptide that is the master upstream regulator of the HPG axis. Stimulates natural GnRH pulsatility to restore endogenous testosterone, LH, and FSH production without suppressing the axis.
How Kisspeptin-10 (HPG Axis) Works
Binds KISS1R (GPR54) receptors on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, triggering pulsatile GnRH release. This cascades to LH/FSH secretion from the pituitary, maintaining the natural feedback loop.
Dosing Protocol
- Typical dose: 100-400 mcg
- Frequency: 1-2x daily
- Duration: 4-12 weeks
- Route: Subcutaneous injection
Reported Benefits
- Natural testosterone restoration
- Preserved HPG axis function
- Enhanced libido
- LH/FSH stimulation
- Potential fertility support
- No testicular suppression
Potential Side Effects
- Flushing
- Mild headache
- Injection site irritation
- Nausea (rare)
- Possible tachyphylaxis with continuous use
