Full name: Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid)
A selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used off-label in men to raise endogenous testosterone by blocking hypothalamic estrogen feedback. An alternative to TRT that preserves fertility.
How Clomiphene Citrate Works
Blocks estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, preventing negative feedback. This increases GnRH pulsatility, elevating pituitary LH and FSH output and subsequently testicular testosterone production.
Dosing Protocol
- Typical dose: 12.5-50 mg
- Frequency: Daily or every other day
- Duration: 3-6 months
