Oxymetholone Research Guide
Full name: Oxymetholone (Anadrol)
A potent oral DHT-derived anabolic steroid (Anadrol), prescribed for anemia and muscle wasting and known in bodybuilding for rapid mass and strength gains with significant water retention. Educational reference only.
How Oxymetholone Works
Oxymetholone is a 17-alpha-alkylated derivative of DHT that strongly stimulates erythropoiesis and protein synthesis. Despite its DHT origin, it can produce estrogen-like effects through a non-aromatizing mechanism, contributing to water retention.
