My first Cortexin course for post‑stroke memory support

I had a minor stroke last fall and the memory fog was the worst part of recovery. A colleague suggested Cortexin, a mixture of low‑molecular‑weight neuropeptides from bovine cortex, and I decided to try a 10‑day course. I got the injections from a local clinic; the first few shots left a sore spot at the injection site, finally it got easier.
Over the week I started noticing a tiny lift in my ability to recall names and appointments that had slipped away earlier. It wasn’t a dramatic change, but for a 50‑year‑old woman, the small improvements kept me motivated. I did not feel any significantgings or headaches, only mild discomfort at the injection site.
I’m not claiming this is a cure, just an additional layer of support that seemed to help my brain stay a bit sharper while I was still healing. If anyone else has tried it, I’d love to hear what they felt.

- hank_m: Tbh reading your recap felt kind of good, it’s always nice to hear a little lift after a stroke and the mental fog can be the hardest part. I’ve played around with low‑mol neuropeptides like bacopa and a short rapamycin run – the changes are subtle too, but i did notice a bit more clarity after a week or so, especially when i’m pressed for time at work and need to keep a few significa details straight. The injection site pain is pretty common, i found a warm compress helps a few hours after each
- kayla_s: I did jot down each day in a little notebook – the first few days I noted I could actually remember the names of the nurses at the clinic, then by day five I was calling a friend by her full name for the first time in weeks. No rash, just mild workshops that got easier. Did the warm compress help you keep the site tolerable after the first shots, or did you try anything else?
