8‑week matrixyl 5% serum: my skin, energy, and sleep notes

I started a 5 % matrixyl (palmitoyl‑pentapeptide‑4) serum on the 1st of January, applying it twice a day after washing my face, and kept a log for eight weeks. The first two days i felt a slight tingling at the application sites – something i’d read about in the product notes – but it faded after a couple of washes and left me with a subtle, refreshed feeling. By week four my skin looked firmer and the fine lines over my nose had softened enough that i stopped checking my phone for a long time, and i noticed my sleep had improved; i fell asleep quicker and woke up less often during the night.
I did feel a tiny uptick in energy during the day, probably because better rest kept me from that low‑energy slump i used to get around lunch. I’ve been getting my routine set up on a calendar so i can keep track of any new changes and see if the trend holds. I’ve had no irritation or long‑term side effects so far.

- ivy_mobility: I tried a similar 5 % matrixyl serum a few months ago and also noticed a mild tingling the first couple of applications, which faded quickly. For me the skin felt smoother after about three weeks, and I did catch myself falling asleep a bit easier, though I can’t tell if that was from the serum or just from sticking to a nightly routine. Did you track any sleep metrics like HRV or just go by how you felt? 👀
