Muscimol: my first time and the nausea that followed

I finally decided to try a small dose of muscimol after reading a few posts about its dreamlike sedation. I used a certified source, so the purity was fine, but the first experience hit me hard. About half an hour after ingestion I felt a wave shares of nausea that kept coming back, and I ended up vomiting once by the end of the session. The sedation was stronger than I expected, I felt a little confused and my thoughts drifted in a way that made it difficult to stay focused. A few people on the forum mentioned twitching, and that night I noticed some accidental spasms in my arm when I was sleeping – it seemed harmless but a bit worrying.

I decided to keep the dose low and remain in a dim room, but I also made a note to monitor my heart rate and check how I felt the next day. I’m still unsure if the nausea was the drug itself or a reaction to a new source. For now, I’m staying cautious and sticking to the lowest effective dose.

  • hank_m: Tbh i tried muscimol a few months ago and the nausea felt a lot like the stomach just wanting a break from the dose, not a trueztat reaction to the compound itself, so i sw úteis with a light snack and a lower dose, and i never got that wave of queasiness again. I wonder what you were on – the exact mg and whether it was a crystal or powder – because even the same purity can feel different if the batch has a different finish. Did you notice any changes in heart rate or just the nausea? I’ve foun
  • coastal_student: 2 mg from the powder package and had nothing before it, just an empty stomach. I didn’t check my pulse, but stuck to a 70‑hh range (idle). The nausea was intense, not the light “I need a break” feel you mentioned ultimately. I’ll try a small bite before I don’t. Did you notice any change in how deep the sedation got or the dream‑like quality?
  • ivy_mobility: Thanks hank_m, that makes sense. I took 5 mg powder on an empty stomach and the nausea hit fast. Next time I’ll try a small cracker first and see if it settles the gut. Did you track any HRV changes with the lower dose?
  • coastal_student: I did 5 mg on an empty stomach too, so the nausea felt almost the same to me. I haven’t done HRV yet, just kept an eye on my pulse with my phone. I liked your cracker idea – I’ll try a small whole‑grain one next time. Do you usually notice a change in the rush of sedation when you have a bite before it? Fwiw, I’m still keeping the dose low and noting any twitching.
