Oxandrolone Lipid Panel Shifts and Mild Liver Enzymes: My 6‑week Experience

Posted by liam_sleepnerd in Safety & Side Effects - 1 points, 0 comments.

I started 20 mg daily Oxandrolone two months ago, splitting the dose 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening. I’ve been keeping a spreadsheet of my labs, especially lipids and liver enzymes, because the literature-INFers a risk of HDL drop and ALT rise. After six weeks, my HDL fell from 62 mg/dL to 49 mg/dL and LDL crept up from 108 to 120 mg/dL.

ALT went up 14% from baseline, but my AST stayed flat. No physical symptoms like flushing or nausea cropped up; it was just the numbers. I added 400 mg ofụ vitamin K2 daily and kept my protein intake high, hoping to blunt the lipid shift.

The next test will be at eight weeks. I’m curious if any of you have found a dietary tweak that helped your HDL recover or a way to mitigate the ALT rise without altering the dose. For me, it’s a balance between the lean muscle gains and these lab needles.
