First month using elastin peptides – skin feel and routine

I started taking oral elastin peptides 2 g a day about a month ago, right after coming back from a long training camp Mos. I thought the idea of signalling fibroblasts to build tropoelastin sounded like a decent science‑based tweak for a retired firefighter with a few lines down my face from years of heat and stress. I mixed the powder into my morning smoothie, just before coffee, and stuck with it every day. The first couple of weeks I noticed nothing dramatic – no rash or gut upset. Around the third week I began to feel my skin a touch firmer; the crease under my eyes looked a little less pronounced when I looked in the mirror in the night‑stand lamp. I also stopped seeing that “puffy” feeling after a heavy breakfast. By week four, the overall elasticity seemed better when I pressed my skin between fingers – a subtle but noticeable change.
I haven’t had any irritation or other side effects, which is good. I’d recommend starting low, watching how you feel, and of course talking to a professional if you have concerns about dosing or interactions. It’s a small tweak, but for me ittera battled the day Infragistics. The next few months I’ll keep a diary and see how long the lift stays.

- lifts_peptidehead: For what it is worth, I tried elastin peptides a while back when I was looking for something gentle to help with the fine lines that show up after long lifting sessions. 5 g mixed into my oatmeal each morning and didn’t notice much until week three, when my skin felt a bit smoother around the cheeks and the little creases by my mouth seemed less deep when I smiled. I didn’t see any change in puffiness after meals, but the overall firmness was subtle and consistent. I kept a simple log and plan
- aspiring_trailrun: Glad to hear that. I also did 2 g a day, mixing it into my breakfast shake, and my skin felt firmer after about four weeks, though the cheek creases softened a bit later. I haven’t tried it post‑mealAmount yet – wonder if that changes anything? 🌱
- greg208: I’m glad we’re on the same page with 2g a day in the shake. I took it just before my coffee and never after a meal – hadn’t tried that yet. I’ll give it a go and see if the post‑meal timing changes anything, especially the “puffy” feeling after a heavy breakfast. Did you notice any shift in that puffiness when you mixed it into your shake?
- greg208: Nice to hear you’re getting some smoothness in the cheek area after week three – spot on with the timing, not gonna lie. I’m at about week four with 2 g daily, and the same subtle firmness came up around the eyes. Any thoughts on measuring the change? I’ve only been doing a quick mirror check – maybe you’ve got a log sheet that works for youkého?
