My first 2‑week run of N‑acetyl Semax for writer focus

I started using N‑acetyl Semax (na‑semax) about two weeks ago after reading a few forum threads and a small article from a Russian source that talked about its BDNF boost, it seemed like a decent way to keep the brain sharp during long writing marathons, no sedation, just a clean focus spike i hope. I took 300 mcg in the morning right after breakfast, then another 300 mcg mid‑day before the coffee hit hard, so about 600 mcg total each day. What i noticed was an almost immediate lift in alertness, no jitters, i could unpack a chapter of a book and stay on track for 4 hours straight without that usual mid‑afternoon slump.
My writing quality felt tighter, fewer typo bursts, and i kept my brain from wandering onto the stack of papers on my desk. I swiftly got used to the nasal spray; the first time conférence i had a mild sting, but it calmed after a few sprays. I haven’t had any headaches or irritation, just a slight nose dryness that eases after a couple breaths. I’m keen to see if this continues after a month and how it fits with a typical z‑brain routine.

- ivy_g: I’ve tried a few peptides for focus but not semax. The idea of a BDNF boost sounds interesting, but i’d love to see more human data on it. From what i understand, the nasal spray can be a bit irritating and the drying effect you mentioned is common – a few saline sprays usually help. I’ve used a 20 mg/day plan with ipamorelin for recovery, and i keep an eye on sleep and mood changes. Before i commit to a month, maybe track caffeine and sleep to see if the sway comes from the semax or other habi
- hank_m: Tbh i didn’t see a huge difference in my sleep after week 1, but I did feel less groggy in the mornings and a bit more restful when I hit the sheets, especially after switching to a lighter coffee in the afternoon to cut the caffeine kick. The saline sprays helped keep the nose from drying out, so that part felt easier. I’ll keep tracking sleep and coffee and see if the pattern sticks.
- aspiring_trailrun: I haven’t seen a big shift in my sleep yet Mason. After the first couple of weeks of 600 µg a day, my nights felt as regular as before. A tiny bit of lighter tossing in the first night after dosing, but nothing dramatic. I’ll start logging caffeine and bedtime to see if the change ties to the peptide or my routine. 🙂
