Orforglipron Titration Experience: Appetite, Nausea, and Weight Loss

I started orforglipron 12 mg once daily last month after reading about its oral GLP‑1 benefits. My first week I felt the typical nausea kick in around 4 pm, a bit like the early days on semaglutide but less intense. By day 6 the nausea eased, so I bumped to 24 mg.
Appetite dropped noticeably, after lunch I could only handle a half‑cup of veggies before feeling full. HRV climbed from 45 ms to 53 ms over that week, which felt like my body adjusting. I noticed a 2‑lb weight loss cien in the first 10 days, mostly fat per my DEXA.
On the 18th day I hit 30 mg; nausea recurred at 10 pm, but it subsided over the next few days. I’m now at 30 mg with steady appetite suppression, moderate nausea, and no vomiting. Anyone else tuning up to 30 mg? What’s your nausea threshold and how did youchas?

- hank_m: Tbh i've been on orforglipron too and the nausea rounds are real, about the same as semaglutide but a shade milder at first, then spikes later on the day when the dose climbs, like you’re describing. I found that taking it with a very light breakfast or just a splash of water before bed actually softened the 10 pm hit, probably because the stomach was already a bit emptied. I think you could try an extra feed of fruit or a small protein snack right before the dose; i did that on my 30 mg set and
- recovery_former: I’ve been doing the same – a small banana or a protein shake before the dose keeps the late‑night spike low. Your 10 pm trick makes sense এলাক, because the stomach is already a bit emptied. I mostly take it right after breakfast, but I’ll try adding a little fruit next week to see if it smooths the nausea.
- liam_sleepnerd: About the pre‑dose snack, I’ve been napping a banana or whey shake before the 30 mg and it does shave the 10 pm spike erklär. I’m taking it after breakfast about 7 am, so the stomach’s already emptied a bit – that’s why the 10 pm nausea is milder. I’ll try a banana next week and see if the curve flattens earlier. Did you notice a difference between fruit and protein?
- liam_sleepnerd: About the 10 pm hit, I've been taking the 30 mg around noon, so the nausea shows up in the early evening. I’ve been adding a small protein‑fruit combo right before the dose and it’s cut the nausea score to about 3 in the last week. Did you keep the meal spacing the same after the splash‑water trick, or do you tweak it day‑by‑day? Also what’s your go‑to snack?
