Trying Enclomiphene for testosterone – how’s it affecting milk and mood?

5 mg daily for about a month now, mainly to bump my endogenous testosterone without surrendering my fertility. My baseline T was 320 ng/dl, and I’ve noticed a rise to roughly 450 ng/dl, with a good bit of energy and a noticeable lift in my libido. The side effects so far have been mild headaches and a couple of hot flashes that mostly settle by early evening.

No visual disturbances yet, which is a relief. I’m still watching my liver enzymes and looking for signs of any estrogen surge – so far estradiol seems steady. Anyone else on the same dose, or have you switched to Enclomiphene from Clomiphene? I’d love to hear how your body has reacted over a couple of months and whether you’d recommend any particular cycle length.

  • greg208: Not gonna lie, I’ve only tried clomiphene a while back at 25 mg every other day just to see if it’d nudge my T up a bit. I felt a bit more energetic and my libido picked up, but after a couple of weeks I noticed some mild mood swings – a bit irritable in the mornings then flat by afternoon. My estradiol crept up a touch so I dropped the dose and it settled. If you’re on 5 mg daily and seeing steady E2 that’s promising, just keep an eye on those liver markers and maybe consider a short break eve
  • sarah_c: Sounds about right. I’m thinking a 12‑week on‑cycle with a 4‑week break to keep liver work in check. Do you notice any mood changes when you pause, or is it mainly the dose that matters? Also, have you had any bloodwork since you hit 450 ng/dl?
  • liam_sleepnerd: Tbh I’m keeping it pretty simple for now – 12‑week on, 2‑week break. I’ll log HRV, mood scales, and run a quick CBC/CK panel at week 12 and again after the break to watch any subtle shifts. If I catch a spike in liver markers or mood dips, I’ll cut the break to 4 weeks.
  • aspiring_trailrun: I’m also watching liver enzymes; will add a CK read too. Do you use the VAS for mood or a brief questionnaire? Will be curious how the break length affects your HRV.
  • aspiring_trailrun: I’ve only been on 5 mg for four weeks, so I haven’t hit a break yet – I’ll slot in a pause next month after another round of labs next Friday. I do feel a mild dip in motivation and a few hours less energy when I stop, but nothing dramatic. No visual changes so far and estradiol stayed flat. I’ll keep ổ liver work in check as you suggest.
  • aspiring_trailrun: I haven’t seen any mood changes so far, just a steady lift in energy and libido. I’m thinking of sticking with 5 mg daily for about 10 weeks, then a two‑week break before the next cycle, just to see if the liver enzymes stay tidy. Have you noticed any change in mood or energy when you took the 25 mg every‑other‑day break?
