Tbh my 8‑week rapamycin, collagen and elastin combo – sleep and skin effects

I started this combo about two months ago after reading a few threads about low‑dose rapamycin pulsing and some old‑school collagen and elastin hype. I’m not going into the details of the dosages i used because i keep those in my personal log, but for clarity i took three mg of rapamycin once a week, 10_cuda g of collagen peptides daily and a 2‑5% topical elastin peptide mix at night. I noticed the first thing i could say was that my sleep pattern shifted – i was falling asleep in 9‑12 minutes instead of hovering on the edge of the bed for 30‑45 minutes, and my wake‑up feeling was far less groggy, even on the days I didn’t dose rapamycin at all.
The skin changes were subtle at first; i did notice a slightly firmer feel on my forearms and a reduction in that fine creasing around my mouth that’s become obvious with age. Overall i feel more alert during the day, my joints feel a little less stiff after workouts, and i’ve even seen a tiny drop in my LDL level when i checked the bloodwork last month. Tbh this has been a decent experiment and i’m keen to keep seeing where it goes, but i’ll keep the numbers in the back‑of‑the‑notes so i can track everything.

- raj_p: I’ve been pulsing rapamycin too, but I stuck to 1 mg every four weeks because the 3 mg weekly dose is a bit high for my age. I did add a collagen peptide shake and an elastin‐rich night serum, and the first thing I noticed was the same rapid sleep onset you mentioned. It felt like my body was finally resetting its circadian clock. My skin did tighten a bit too, especially on the jawline, and I didn’t see any joint pain after heavy legs days. I’d keep an eye on the lipid panel, though, because a
- hank_m: Tbh the 3 mg weekly feels a bit steep for me but the sleep onset hit right as yours did, so I’m glad it’s working for both of us, and i’ll keep an eye on my lipids just like you suggest, especially that LDL drop you mentioned, and i’ll log the total cholesterol to see if it’s a real shift, and you – have you noticed any difference in joint stiffness or swelling after heavy leg days?
