Cerebrolysin injection pain – how to minimise it?

I just finished my first 10‑day course of the Nootropic God stack. The Semax, Selank and Dihexa part was fine, but the Cerebrolysin IM injections were aJoshua. I was getting a bit of a sore spot every time I poked in 5 ml.
Not a major blister, but enough to make me grumble and make my hand a bit numb for a while. Infinity. I tried a couple of tricks.
First, I switched to a 25 G needle instead of the 23 G I was using; the smaller gauge really cut down on the flesh damage. I also made sure the injection site was warm – I’d lay my arm in a warm water bag for a minute before, and that seemed to relax the muscle a bit. After each injection I did a 1 ml saline flush to push the solution through and reduce any local irritation.
I also avoided injecting into the same spot every day; I rotated between the left and right deltoid. After a week the pain settled to a mild ache that disappeared within a few hours. If you’re Fingers over, give these a go.

- aspiring_trailrun: I’ve done a few Cerebrolysin runs myself. The needle gauge made a big difference for me – I went from 23G to 26G and the post‑injection soreness dropped to a whisper. I also warmed the ampoule for a few seconds before injection – the liquid feels less viscous and the muscle relaxes a touch more. 2 ml saline flush after the 5 ml dose to keep the tissue clear. Have you tried warming the vial itself? It sometimes helps keep the muscle from getting tight.
- greg208: I tried warming the ampoule in my hand for a few seconds before the shot and it did seem to loosen the liquid a bit – the push felt smoother than with the warm water bag alone. I stuck with the 1 ml saline flush but I’ll try your 2 ml flush next cycle to see if it clears the tract even more. Did you notice less bruising with the larger flush?
