Cypionate vs Enanthate – which gives better recovery for older bodybuilders?

I started a 12‑week TRT cycle with testosterone cypionate at 150 mg every week. Over the first few weeks I noticed a steadier energy level during my long runs and a smoother muscle recovery after heavy lifts, with less water retention than I remembered from my younger days. I was wondering whether anyone else has skidded to enanthate or a mixed approach and how that changed the feel.
Enanthate’s half‑life is about half that of cypionate, so the serum levels fluctuate a bit more if you inject only once a week. Some of my friends say that gives a slight lift in max strength on 1‑2‑day cycles, but it also brings a bit more estrogenic itch. The others I know who stay on cypionateapter show less fluctuation in mood and a more consistent baseline.
Do you think the longer depot of cypionate is generally better for steady training, or do the quicker spikes from enanthate give a tangible benefit? Also what about the occasional mix‑and‑match strategy? Any data or anecdotes to share?
