Has anyone noticed changes in energy or recovery on NR 500 mg daily?

I started taking 500 mg of nicotinamide riboside (NR) about six weeks ago after reading the recent paper on its effect on NAD+ and mitochondrial function. I split it in the morning and early afternoon to keep levels steady. Been training 5–6 days a week, doing a mix of long runs and weight work.

For the first couple weeks, my mornings felt a tad brighter and I could hit an extra 10‑minute rep set at the gym without the usual post‑lift fatigue. Sleep has been a little more consistent, with fewer night wake‑ups. I’m not saying it’s a miracle, but the shift in midday energy and the lower‑grade soreness that used to linger after a long run has lessened noticeably.

Anyone else seen a similar pattern? If so, how long did it take to notice and do you see a plateau? Also, any thoughts on whether to take it with a pre‑exercise meal or just keep it evenly split?
