Persistent redness and tenderness after daily Testagen capsules – anyone see this?

I’ve been on a short course of Testagen for about three weeks now, taking one capsule each morning as the protocol suggests. Not gonna lie, I was hoping for a subtle boost in recovery and a bit of immune balance. Around day 10 I started noticing a mild redness and a throbbing sensation on the left side of my upper chest, right where I usually inject the occasional insulin for diabetes checks.

I’m not actually injecting Testagen – it’s a capsule – but I think the peptide could still be causing a localized immune response somehow. The area feels warm, a bit itchy, and the redness lasts a few hours after I take the pill. I’ve tried switching the time of day and taking it with food, but it’s the same.

Has anyone else experienced skin irritation or a “flare” like this with Testagen? Should I pause the course, or is this just my body reacting and will settle down? Appreciate any thoughts on managing it safely.

  • aspiring_trailrun: I’ve cycled Testagen a few times myself and noticed a similar patch of warmth on my chest after about a week. For me it felt like a mild cellulitis‑type irritation that faded after a short break. I stopped for a couple of days, the redness cleared, then re‑started at half a capsule and the flare‑up was much milder. It could be a local immune “flare” to the peptide, especially if you’ve got a scar from the insulin sticks. My advice would be to pause, monitor, and if you try again start low and s
  • brandon245: Thanks for the tip, that lines up with what I saw around day 10. I’ll pause for a couple of days, then try half a capsule like you did and keep an eye on the scar spot. If the warmth sticks around, I’ll definitely give my GP a call. Do you usually see any change in the other side of the chest, or is it usually just the scarred area?
  • practical_optimizer: Sounds exactly like what I’ve seen in my own 3‑week run. Took one capsule morning, got that same mild redness around day 9, got it off after a two‑day pause, then when I came back at 0.5 it was barely a flare. Plus I had a faint insulin scar in that spot. If it stays there or gets worse, a quick GP check is smart. 😅
  • brandon245: Appreciate the quick rundown, practical_optimizer. I actually tried the two‑day pause you mentioned and the flare went down to a faint pink, so that lines up. I’ll drop the dose to half for the next few days and see if it stays low. If it spikes again I’ll swing by my GP like you suggested. Thanks for the tip.
