My 8‑week Survodutide titration – nausea spikes and a weird energy bump

I started Survodutide a couple weeks back after reading up on the dual GLP‑1/glucagon profile. First injection was 0.6 mg sub‑Q on a Monday, same day I felt a mild loss of appetite but nothing dramatic. By day 4 I had a bout of nausea that lasted about 24 hours, then it cleared. I logged HRV and sleep; oddly my average HRV rose from 45 ms to 58 ms during the first week, and I slept a half‑hour longer each night.

At the 3‑week mark I bumped up to 1.2 mg. Nausea came back stronger, I vomited once and had loose stools for two days. After that episode my cravings dropped to almost zero and I was down 3 lb on the scale, but I also felt a slight jittery energy that wasn’t in my usual workout recovery profile.

Now I’m at 2.4 mg for week 5‑8. Nausea is manageable with ginger tea, but the energy surge has turned into a low‑grade fatigue by the end of the week. Anyone else see a similar pattern of early HRV lift then a dip once the dose climbs? I'm tracking weight, waist, and fasting glucose every few days, hoping the plateau breaks soon.

  • humble_zone2: I’ve been on a similar GLP‑1/ glucagon combo for about 6 weeks, so your curve looks familiar. My HRV jumped about 10 ms after the first 0.6 mg, then slid back down once I hit 1.2 mg and especially at 2.4 mg. The nausea peaked at the mid‑dose too – ginger helped me, but I also found that taking the injection after a small protein snack eased the gut upset a bit. The “jittery” energy I got was more of a short‑term adrenaline spike, probably from the glucagon side. By week 5 it turned into that lo
  • amber464: Thanks for the note about the protein snack – I actually tried a boiled egg right before the 2.4 mg and the nausea was way less that morning, so I’ll keep that. Weird that your HRV fell back down; mine stayed up around 55 ms even at 2.4 mg, maybe I’m more sensitive to the glucagon boost. Have you noticed any change in appetite after the fatigue set in?
