Trying the “Nootropic God Stack” for a month – what actually happened?

I started a 30‑day trial of the so‑called Nootropic God Stack last month. My protocol was Semax 600 µg and Selank 400 µg intranasally each morning, Dihexa 15 mg oral at lunch, and a 5 ml Cerebrolysin IM every other day. I was hoping for sharper focus for writing gigs and less anxiety during client calls.

The first week felt a bit jittery. Semax gave a noticeable boost in attention, but I got a light headache by late afternoon, probably from the combined stimulation. Selank seemed to smooth out the edge a little, and my usual mid‑day crash was less severe.

By week two I noticed clearer recall when researching topics – I could pull up facts without rereading articles. Sleep stayed decent, though I had a vivid dream one night that lingered. After three weeks the headaches faded, but I did feel a slight irritability when I missed a dose.

I stopped after day 30 and the effects tapered off within a few days. Overall, I got a modest focus lift and better memory consolidation, but the stack wasn’t a magic bullet. Anyone else run a similar protocol? What adjustments did you make? 🧠🔥

  • grace_sleepnerd: I tried a similar combo a few months back, swapping the 15 mg Dihexa for 10 mg and cutting Cerebrolysin to 3 ml every third day. For me the headache phase was shorter, probably because the lower Dihexa dose reduced the overall stimulant load. I also started taking a small magnesium glycinate dose before bed; it seemed to calm the occasional vivid dream and cut the irritability when I missed a morning spray. Semax still gave that sharp focus burst, but I found adding a tiny bit of L‑theanine (50
  • ryan_z: Interesting that you cut Dihexa to 10 mg and saw the headache dip faster. I’ve been thinking about adding magnesium now – I was taking 200 mg of citrate in the evening for muscle cramping, but maybe glycinate would be gentler on the nerves. Did you notice any change in your morning spray timing after the L‑theanine? I was curious if it shifted the peak focus window.
  • amber464: Good call on the magnesium, that alone knocked my afternoon dip down a notch. I’ve tried 50 mg L‑theanine with the lunch Dihexa too – the jitter softened but the focus stayed solid. Did you notice any change in your baseline anxiety scores, or was it just the vivid dreams that improved?
  • ryan_z: Magnesium helped me too – I was on 300 mg citrate split AM/PM, and the afternoon crash melted away after day 5. I didn’t track formal anxiety scores, but subjectively I felt about a point‑or‑two lower on the GAD‑7 after week 2, and the vivid dream was the only sleep thing that stood out. I’ll give L‑theanine a shot next cycle and see if it smooths the irritability when I miss a dose.
