Rotator cuff flare‑up – tried oral BPC‑157 alongside physio

Got a nasty rotator cuff tendinitis a few months back after a weekend of heavy lifting. Physiotherapist put me on a typical rehab programme – rotator cuff strengthening, stretch work and ice after sessions. A few weeks in the pain was still nagging, especially after I’d done a heavy bench press set.

I read up on the oral BPC‑157 formulation (the arginate salt) and decided to give it a try, keeping the dose low at 500 µg once daily with my morning coffee. I stuck with it for about three weeks, taking it at the same time each day and continuing the physio routine.

For me the joint felt a bit less achy on the days after the physio and I could push a couple of extra reps before the sting returned. Not a miracle – still needed the exercises and rest – but the soreness seemed to ease quicker than the first few weeks. I did feel a mild queasy feeling the first two days, which settled down. If you’re on a similar rehab track, a short course of oral BPC‑157 might be worth a chat with your doc, just keep an eye on any gut upset. 🙋
