Some much needed skepticism on peptide evidence

I just came across this analysis from McMaster University that basically argues the hype around peptides is way ahead of the actual human evidence. It focuses on how people are self experimenting with unauthorized compounds without real data to back it up.

Fwiw, I think this is a fair point? I am all for optimizing my recovery, but it is easy to get swept up in forum anecdotes when the actual peer reviewed literature is thin. In my own experience with GH secretagogues, I felt a difference in my sleep and energy, but it could just be placebo? I always try to cross reference what people say here with actual biology, but the gap is often huge.

Do you think we are relying too much on stories from influencers instead of actual trials? It would be beauty if we had more standardized data so we didn't have to just give'r and hope for the best, eh?
