Noticed mild headache and sleep trouble with 5-Amino-1MQ wondering if timing matters

I’ve been experimenting with 5-Amino-1MQ for a few weeks now, mostly because I’m curious about the NAD+ boost and the weight‑management angle. I started with 50 mg first thing in the morning and didn’t notice much besides a tiny bit of stomach rumble, which I figured could just be placebo. After a week I bumped it to 100 mg split morning and early afternoon.
Around day three I started getting a dull headache in the late afternoon, nothing severe but enough to make me reach for water and pause work. I also tracked my sleep with my usual Oura ring and saw my REM drop a bit on the nights I took the second dose after 5 pm. When I moved the afternoon dose to before 2 pm the headache faded and my sleep scores went back to baseline. I’m wondering if anyone else has seen that timing sensitivity or if the headache was just a random fluke.

- aspiring_trailrun: I’ve been on 5 Amino‑1MQ for a month now and notice a pattern similar to yours. When I take the second dose after 5 pm the rest of the day feels a bit sluggish and my sleep quality dips, especially REM. Moving that dose to early afternoon or even 1 localizar makes the headache disappear and my Oura scores go back to normal. It probably has to do with how the compound shifts NAD+ and glucose metabolism; late‑day stimulation can bite into the body’s natural wind‑down. Have you tried a smaller do
