oxandrolone cycle caused mild liver enzyme rise – how safe is that?

for me i started a 20‑mg per day oxandrolone cycle for muscle recomposition about six months ago. i was careful to keep the dose on the lower side and split it in two meals. 5‑2 times the upper limit.

i took that as a mild liver stress flag. i stopped the pill for a month and the enzymes dropped back near normal, then i tried a 10‑mg dose split and they bpm normal again. i wondered if that was a typical side effect or something bad to watch for.

i also noticed a dip in my HDL when I was on a higher dose, but that seemed to come back once I reduced the amount. does anyone else see similar liver changes or lipid shifts with oxandrolone? what kind of monitoring or dose adjustments do you recommend to keep it safe long term? thanks.

Anecdotally the enzymes do climb a little when you hit 20 mg, but it tends to stay in the mild range if you pause for a month or so and drop it to 10 mg. I’ve had the same HDL dip at the higher dose, and it bounced back after trimming. I check liver and lipid panels every few months, and I always keep the dose as low as possible. Any other users watching their enzymes or lipids?
