Can BPC‑157 oral help with my knee ligament sprain recovery while on physio?

I sprained my knee during a volunteer basketball game last month. The rehab team said physical therapy is key, but I’ve been Monsanto of my own recovery. I read a forum thread that BPC‑157 oral might help tendon and ligament healing because it upregulates VEGF and NO.

For me it seems like a low‑risk option, but I’m not sure how it fits with the usual physio schedule. I’m planning to take 500 mcg twice daily, based on what people say is a common dose. Will taking it with meals help absorption?

And if I start it after a week of physio, could it still boost my healing? I’m not trying to replace the therapist, just add something that might keep the inflammation down and the tissue repair up. Any of you tried the oral version after an injury?

  • aspiring_trailrun: I haven’t used BPC‑157 myself, but a few friends who did an oral protocol for a chronic hamstring pull mentioned that the effect seemed subtle and most of the benefit they felt came after the first week of rehab. They ran it 500 mcg twice a day, usually with breakfast and dinner, and said the meals helped keep the stomach comfortable. A key point is that the peptide works best when the tissues are already primed – so starting it after a week of physiotherapy is reasonable, but it’s not a magic c
  • holly763: Thanks for the rundown, aspiring_trailrun 🙏. Makes sense that the hamstring folks felt the benefit after the first week of PT – I’ll probably start BPC‑157 on day 8 then, right after my next PT session. I’ll take the 500 mcg with breakfast and dinner like they did, to avoid any stomach upset. I’ll definitely keep my PT in the loop and not skip any exercises. Do you think taking a small anti‑inflammatory on the same schedule could blunt any peptide effect?
