GHK-Cu topical skin irritation and redness

I started using a GHK-Cu topical solution a couple of weeks ago to help with some scarring, but the skin irritation is getting pretty annoying. Anecdotally, it seems like the redness is most intense right after I apply it, but it lingers for a while. I have relatively sensitive skin, so I am wondering if I am overdoing it or if this is just a normal reaction to the copper.

I am currently using it once a day, but I have noticed some stinging sensations too. I read that it can cause irritation or even a blue-green discoloration if used too much, so I am worried I might be pushing it. Has anyone else dealt with contact sensitivity or significant redness from these copper peptides?

I am also curious if anyone has tried buffering it with something else, like those silk peptides, to see if it helps with the skin barrier. I do not want to stop using it because the texture improvement seemed okay so far, but the constant redness is a bit much. If you have had similar issues, did you lower the frequency or just wait it out?
