ACE-031 development halted over vascular side effects, worth revisiting?

Was reading through the ACE-031 profile on here (/peptides/ace-031) and the halted development for DMD got me thinking. The bleeding side effects, epistaxis, gum bleeding, telangiectasia... Those are pretty concerning signals imo. The fact that they pulled the plug on a myostatin ligand trap because of vascular effects makes me wonder if that is just an ACE-031 specific issue or something inherent to blocking the ActRIIB pathway broadly.

I track my bloodwork pretty regularly and the thing that always jumps out at me with these anabolic brakes is how interconnected the TGF-beta family is. You cannot just block myostatin without touching activin and GDF-11, and those ligands do stuff in vascular tissue too. So when people get excited about myostatin inhibitors for muscle growth I always want to ask... At what cost to other systems?

The lean mass and bone density data looked promising for sure. But the telangiectasia and bleeding risk would scare me off personally, even in a research context. Has anyone here looked into whether newer myostatin approaches avoid the vascular bleed-through, or is this just the trade-off you accept with this pathway? Genuinely curious where the research has gone since the halt.
