CJC-1295 water retention, how much is normal vs something to worry about

Honestly been running cjc-1295 no-dac for about 5 weeks now, 300mcg before bed, and the water retention is more noticable than i expected. Not talking about looking a bit puffy, my rings are tight and my face feels proper bloated by the evening. Dropped about 2kg on the scale in the first 10 days which i reckoned was water but then it sort of stabilised and crept back up.

Seen the side effect listed on the /peptides/cjc-1295 page but theres not much detail on what's within normal range vs when you should actually stop. Does anyone know if the water retention scales with dose linearly or is there a threshold where it gets worse fast? And has anyone tracked bloodwork while on it, specifically kidney markers or sodium, because im keen to understand if theres an actual mechanism behind the retention or if its just GH-driven stuff.

Not trying to be dramatic about some puffiness but ive got a history of borderline blood pressure and i dont want to brush something off that matters. If anyone has gone off it and seen the water drop quickly that'd be useful to hear too.

  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I ran CJC-1295 no-DAC at 250mcg before bed for about six weeks and got the same evening puffiness – rings tight, face feeling bloated. The first week I dropped a couple of kilos then it crept back up, roughly where it stayed. I never saw a sharp jump when I nudged the dose up to 350mcg, but the bloat did feel a bit heavier. I got basic bloods (creatinine, eGFR, sodium) mid‑cycle and they were within my usual range, though my BP crept up a few points. When I stopped after eight weeks the wat
  • kenji_runs: Cheers for that, honestly reassuring to hear someone else had the exact same pattern with the initial drop then creep back up. The BP thing is interesting though, i havent been tracking mine properly, reckon i should start. Did your BP go back to normal once the water dropped off or did it stay a bit elevated even after you stopped?
