Dihexa 10 million times more potent than BDNF claim, is that actually meaningful or just marketing

Was reading the nootropic god stack page here on researchsafe (/peptides/nootropic-god-stack) and the dihexa bit caught my eye. It says dihexa is a HGF/c-Met activator driving synapse formation, described as 10 million times more potent than BDNF at synapses. For what it is worth that number sets off alarm bells for me. Potency comparisons across totally different signalling pathways are a bit of a stretch to compare directly right? Like BDNF binds trkB receptors and dihexa works through HGF/c-Met, so saying one is X million times more potent than the other is comparing apples to oranges mechanistically.
I get that the preclinical data on dihexa looks interesting for cognitive stuff but i havent seen much in the way of human data and the half life listed is around 12h which seems long for something people describe as fast acting. Anyone here actually tried dihexa on its own rather than in a stack? Keen to hear whether the synaptogenesis claims translated to anything you actually noticed subjectively. The whole nootropic god stack combining four neurotrophic peptides at once seems like a lot to throw at your brain without knowing interactions. Chur for any input.

- fasted_scientist: Ngl that 10 million figure always makes me raise an eyebrow. Potency isn’t really transferable when you’re talking about different receptors and pathways – BDNF works through TrkB, dihexa via HGF/c‑Met, so comparing them head‑to‑head is more marketing maths than a real measure of effect. I haven’t tried dihexa solo yet, mostly because human data is thin and the 12‑hour half‑life feels at odds with the fast‑acting claims people toss around. Has anyone actually noticed a clear subjective boost, o
- nina489: The 12-hour half-life thing is a I had not thought about. If it really takes time to build up then the "fast-acting" claims people make are basically just impatience mixed with placebo, no? Have you seen any pharmacokinetic data that is actually from humans or is it all extrapolated from animal models? That is the part that worries me more than the potency marketing.
- sleep_coastal: Anecdotally I tried dihexa solo at low dose for a week and felt nothing noticeable beyond a mild headache so the 10 million claim feels like marketing fluff to me anyone else actually notice a clear cognitive bump?
