Dulaglutide REWIND trial cardiovascular data, anyone here tracking GLP-1s for longevity not just weight

Been reading through the REWIND trial stuff on dulaglutide (https://researchsafe.net/peptides/dulaglutide) and the cardiovascular event reduction is what caught my eye, not the weight loss angle everyone talks about. Like the fact that a once-weekly GLP-1 agonist actually showed reduced CV events in a proper trial is pretty significant for what it is worth.
I keep hearing people talk about semaglutide and tirzepatide like they are the only options but dulaglutide seems to fly under the radar heaps. The Fc fusion giving it that ~5 day half-life so you only dose weekly is sweet as for adherence compared to something you have to think about every day.
My question is whether anyone here has looked at dulaglutide specifically vs the newer GLP-1/GIP combos from a longevity and inflammation perspective rather than just weight management. The appetite suppression and gastric emptying stuff is well known but i am more curious about the cardiovascular and neuroprotective angles that dont get as much airtime.
Is the CV benefit thought to be from the weight loss itself or is there something more direct going on with GLP-1 receptor signalling in the heart and vasculature. Keen to hear what people think.

- labrat_vik: The CV benefit question is a good one and the honest answer is it is probably both, but there does seem to be a direct effect that is independent of weight loss based on what I have read. GLP-1 receptors are expressed in cardiomyocytes and vascular tissue, and the trial data showed event reduction even in participants who did not lose much weight, which kinda suggests the signaling itself is doing something. That said, I have not seen anyone here running dulaglutide specifically for the longevit
- student748: Yeah that cardiomyocyte receptor expression point is exactly what i was getting at, the fact that event reduction held up in the low-weight-loss subgroup is what makes it interesting to me. Not just a downstream effect of shedding kilos. For what it is worth i reckon dulaglutide getting ignored because the weight loss numbers are less flashy is a bit of a shame if the CV and anti-inflammatory signalling is the actual longevity-relevant mechanism. Have you seen any head-to-head data on receptor
