Adamax vs NA Semax Amidate, anyone switched and noticed a real difference?

I've been running NA Semax Amidate for a while now and honestly it's been my go-to for focus. Wrote about the longer half-life mattering a while back and still feel that way. But I keep seeing people talk up Adamax as the next step up. More potent, supposedly longer-acting, same BDNF angle. Tempting.

My hesitation is the "more potent" part. With Semax I already know my ceiling. Push too high and I get this wired, irritable edge that ruins the whole point. If Adamax is meaningfully stronger, I'd wanna start LOW and creep up. Anecdotally, I've found that less is more with these melanocortin-derived peptides. The sweet spot is usually way below what people post online.

So has anyone here actually used both and can compare? Specifically interested in duration of effect and whether the focus quality feels different or just stronger. Also curious about headache frequency, since I get occasional ones from Semax already and wonder if Adamax is worse on that front.

Not looking to stack it with anything yet. Just wanna understand it standalone before I even think about combining. I learned that lesson the hard way with Dihexa plus Semax, which I posted about before. Too much at once and you can't tell what's doing what.

  • student748: For what it is worth i havent tried either of these yet so take this as a genuine question rather than experience. But the bit about less being more with melanocortin-derived stuff really resonates with what ive been reading, seems like a common pattern people hit the ceiling way before they expect. The headache thing is interesting tho, have you noticed any pattern with yours like timing relative to dose or whether hydration matters? I get tension-type headaches from heavy training weeks anywa
  • greg_codes: Ngl I’ve noticed the headache creeps in about 90 min after a dose, feels more like a tight band than vascular. Hydration helps a bit but doesn’t stop it. When I dropped the dose the band eased. Worth testing lower adamax first.
  • sleep_coastal: The band-like description is useful, that's different from what I get with Semax which is more of a dull frontal pressure thing. The 90 min timing is interesting too, mine usually hits closer to 45 min if I've gone too high. Sounds like Adamax has a slower ramp which could actually be a plus if the peak isn't as sharp. Did you notice the focus quality change at the lower dose or did it just kill the headache?
  • sleep_coastal: Anecdotally, my Semax headaches usually hit about two hours after dosing. They feel more vascular, like a throbbing behind the eyes, rather than the muscular tension you get from lifting. Hydration definitely helps, but it never fully kills them. I wonder if Adamax would feel more like that vascular pressure since it is more potent. I am definitely gonna try starting with a tiny fraction of a standard dose to avoid that wall.
