GHRP-6 appetite spike seems to defeat the point for body composition, anyone found a way around it?

Been looking at GHRP-6 for the GH pulse side of things but the appetite stimulation is putting me off a bit. The profile on here lists intense hunger as basically the headline side effect, and from what I gather it hits through the ghrelin pathway which makes sense. But if the whole point of running a GH secretagogue for a lot of people is leaning out or at least recomping, how does that work when you suddenly want to eat everything in sight?

I ran ipamorelin before and the hunger was minimal for me, maybe a slight bump but nothing I couldnt ignore. GHRP-6 sounds like a different animal entirely. Reckon the stronger GH pulse is worth it if youre also fighting cravings all day? Seems like youd just end up eating back whatever extra fat mobilisation you got.

Curious if anyone here has actually used it and found the appetite settles down after a week or two, or if its persistent the whole time you run it. Also wondering whether timing it right before a planned meal actually helps in practice or if the hunger just hits regardless. Ngl the gastric motility and gut healing angle is interesting to me but I keep coming back to the food intake problem being the dealbreaker.

  • labrat_vik: The hunger on GHRP-6 is no joke, it is like a physical need to eat and for me it never really went away or leveled off over time. I tried timing it right before dinner to make the cravings feel like a normal meal, but that just left me starving by midnight and waking up at 3 am looking for snacks. If you liked ipamorelin, you might just stick with that or try a blend, because the GHRP-6 appetite spike usually wins out over any recomp gains in my experience. It could just be my biology, but figh
  • fasted_scientist: That sounds brutal, ngl. Waking up at 3 am for snacks is exactly what I was worried about. I reckon I will just stick with ipamorelin or maybe a blend since I can actually control my diet on that. If the hunger never levels off like you said, there is no point in fighting it for a slightly bigger pulse. Do you think the blend would still give you that midnight craving or is it mostly just the GHRP-6 causing it?
  • curious_scientist: The midnight snack raids are exactly what worries me about GHRP-6. Ghrelin is too good at what it does, imo. You can't really outwillpower a hormone screaming at you to eat. I messed around with ipamorelin and it was so much more manageable on the hunger side. Have you tried dosing GHRP-6 first thing in the morning instead of pre-meal? Curious if that shifts the crash to a less dangerous time of day, or if it just ruins your whole morning.
  • fasted_scientist: I havent actually tried the morning dose yet, ngl. I was too worried it would just make me ravenous during my shift (which is a nightmare). I reckon you are spot on about the willpower thing, because when the hormone hits, it is usually a total landslide. If I move it to the morning, do you think the hunger peaks and then drops off, or does it just linger as a dull roar all day?
