My 2‑week Cortexin trial – what I felt for focus and mental clarity

I decided to try Cortexin after reading about its use for brain recovery in some European clinics. I am not dealing with any serious injury, just occasional fog after long lab days and a minor head bump months ago. I took about 10 mg once daily as subcutaneous injection for fourteen days, keeping everything else the same – same coffee intake, same sleep schedule, no other nootropics added.

Honestly the first few days I did not notice much, maybe a tiny lift in mood but could be placebo. Around day five I felt my thoughts seemed a bit smoother when I was reading dense papers, less effort to keep track of multiple steps in experiments. My focus during long HPLC runs felt steadier, I did not reach for the usual afternoon candy craving as often.

Sleep stayed normal, no vivid dreams or irritation at injection site besides a small red spot that faded quickly. By the end of week two the effect had plateaued; I did not feel dramatically sharper but the baseline fog was a little less frequent. Honestly I am not sure if it is the peptide or just the routine of taking something daily, but I would consider a short course again if I notice similar mental weariness.

I plan to keep a simple log next time and maybe pair it with light exercise to see if anything changes. No medical claims, just my own experience.
