BPC-157 oral and weird bowel habit shifts week 2-3, anyone tracked this?

Been running oral BPC-157 arginate at around 500 mcg twice daily for about three weeks now, empty stomach morning and before bed, and I started noticing some odd bowel changes around day 10 or so that I cant fully explain.

For me it wasnt the mild nausea that the profile mentions, that settled after the first few days and was never more than a slight queasiness if I took it too close to eating. What caught me off guard was a shift in bowel frequency and consistency, like things just moved faster through the gut, not diarrhoea or anything alarming but definitely different from my baseline. I track this stuff pretty obsessively in my notes and my usual pattern is once daily, pretty regular, and suddenly I was going two to three times a day with looser stools for about a week straight.

Could just be coincidence lah, maybe something I ate, but the timing was suspicious enough that I flagged it. The interesting thing is by week three it seemed to normalise on its own without me changing the dose, which makes me think it was some kind of mucosal adjustment phase as the gut lining responded to the peptide.

Im curious if anyone else who ran oral BPC-157 noticed something similar in that second to third week window. Did it settle for you too or did you have to adjust your dose? I kept my notes pretty detailed so happy to compare timelines if anyone else tracked theirs.

  • honest_macros: Just ran oral BPC-157 arginate a year back, same twice-daily setup, and I felt that exact shift around day 10-12, more frequency, looser than my usual once-daily, regular pattern. Lasted about a week then tapered off on its own. Coulda been the gut lining adjusting, like you said. Never got nausea past the first few days either. Honestly just put it down to the peptide ramping up gut motility while the tissue settled. Worth tracking if it happens again, but if it self-corrected like yours did,
  • wes_cycles: Yeah the day 10-12 lag is what gets me, like if it was just irritation youd expect it earlier right, not after a week and a half of tolerating it fine. Mine tapered off around day 17 or so and has been back to baseline since. Did you happen to track anything else at the same time, like HRV or sleep quality, because I felt like my deep sleep took a small dip during that same window but I cant tell if its related or just noise.
  • remy_cycles: That lag time tracks with what I noticed too, around day 9 or 10 before things shifted. For me it settled in roughly a week as well. The motility explanation makes sense to me, though I wonder if part of it is just the gut microbiome reacting to something new passing through. Either way, seems like a common enough pattern that it is probably not worth panicking over, but worth journaling if you run it again.
  • wes_cycles: Yeah the day 9-10 overlap is pretty interesting, makes me think theres something real there rather than just random gut noise. The microbiome angle you mentioned is something I hadnt really considered, I was mostly thinking motility since BPC-157 has those documented effects on gut healing and inflammation pathways, but you could be right that the bacterial population is just reacting to a new compound passing through regularly. Did you happen to track anything beyond just bowel habits, like blo
