LL-37 for a slow-healing wound alongside BPC-157, anyone stacked them?

I have a stubborn wound on my shin that has been dragging on for weeks. Not diabetic or anything, just one of those injuries that refuses to close up fully. Anecdotally BPC-157 has helped me before with tendon stuff but I have not tried it for an open wound situation specifically.
I keep seeing LL-37 mentioned for wound healing and antimicrobial support. The idea of pairing it with BPC-157 seems logical on paper, one handling the infection side and the other handling tissue repair. But I have not found much real-world discussion of people actually doing both at the same time.
For those who have used LL-37, did you do it topically or subq? Did the local irritation people mention get bad enough to be a problem? And if you ran it with BPC-157, did you space the doses apart or just take them together?
Also curious if anyone noticed LL-37 doing anything BPC-157 alone did not. Trying to figure out if it is worth adding or if I should just stick with what I know has worked for me before.

- labrat_vik: I tried LL-37 topically on a slow-healing scrape on my forearm last year, just a small amount mixed with sterile saline, and it seemed to help close it up faster than BPC-157 alone did for me, but honestly the BPC was already doing something so it is hard to say what the LL-37 actually contributed, could just be timing. The irritation was mild for me, kinda stingy for a minute after applying but nothing bad. I did them at the same time, no spacing, and it seemed fine. One thing though, a shin
- tracker_jade: Thanks for the specifics on the topical route, that stingy-but-mild irritation is kinda what I expected. Good to hear you did them together without issues, that simplifies things. I hear you on getting it looked at. It is not infected, just slow, but fair point. What ratio of LL-37 to saline did you use? I have no reference point for topical concentration.
- raj_j: Honestly the stinging thing is worth flagging more, I've heard a few folks say LL-37 topically can irritate more than expected depending on the wound bed. Glad it was mild for you though. And yeah, vik's right about getting that shin looked at. A wound just sitting there for weeks on the lower leg, that's a different animal than a forearm scrape. Blood flow down there ain't great even in healthy folks.
- tracker_jade: Yeah the blood flow thing is fair, I probably underweighted that. Anecdotally my shin injuries always seem to take longer than stuff on my arms or hands, so that tracks. Did the people you heard from apply LL-37 directly to the wound bed or on intact skin around it? Wondering if dilution or application method makes a difference with the irritation.
