Semaglutide alongside a healing stack, anyone managed appetite suppression + recovery eating?

Been looking at the Apollo stack concept and the part that catches my attention is the semaglutide piece paired with tesamorelin. Anecdotally I get why people chase that combo for fat loss but I keep wondering how you actually eat enough to support tendon and tissue repair when your appetite is basically shut off. That seems like a real conflict if you are running BPC-157 and TB-500 at the same time and trying to feed recovery.

Has anyone here actually run a GLP-1 at a low dose alongside a healing protocol and managed to get adequate protein in? Like did you find a dose low enough that the appetite suppression did not wreck your food intake? The semaglutide page mentions 0.25mg as a starting weekly dose and I wonder if that is even enough to matter for body comp or if it is more of a microdose that just blunts cravings slightly.

Also curious about timing. Semaglutide has that long half-life so I guess it is just always on board, but tesamorelin is short. Do you space them out or just not worry about it? Genuinely asking, I have not run a GLP-1 before and the overlap with recovery nutrition is the part I cannot wrap my head around.

  • fasted_scientist: This is the bit that always puts me off these combo stacks ngl. You're basically asking your body to run two opposing programmes at once. Semaglutide says "eat less" and BPC/TB-500 plus tesamorelin say "feed me so I can rebuild." I reckon most people under-eat protein on GLP-1s even at 0.25mg, because the appetite blunting hits harder than people expect, especially in the first couple of weeks. Haven't run a GLP-1 myself so take that as speculation not experience. But I'd want to see someone ac
  • mel_c242: Ngl you are spot on about the opposing programmes thing. I havent run semaglutide myself either but I tried liraglutide briefly last year and the appetite suppression was no joke, like I had to force myself to eat a proper meal. Getting 80-90g protein felt impossible some days. I would not want to layer BPC-157 on top of that and expect good recovery, na? Protein tracking first seems like the only sensible approach before adding healing compounds.
  • holly763: Tbh I tried 0.25mg semaglutide with BPC‑157 and TB‑500 last month and even with alarms I hit ~0.8g/kg protein most days. Felt the appetite drop hard first week. Did you track macros or just go by hunger? 👀
  • tracker_jade: Yeah I track macros, which is probably the only reason I caught how bad it got when I tried sema briefly. 2g/kg on a good day and that still felt low for actual tissue repair. 8g/kg is kinda what I was worried about, like the peptides are doing their thing but you are not giving the body enough building blocks. Did you feel like the healing stalled at that protein intake or did the BPC and TB-500 still seemed to do their job?
  • tracker_jade: Yeah that liraglutide experience is kinda exactly what I am worried about. Forcing down 80-90g protein sounds miserable and I would guess that is not even enough for real tissue repair depending on bodyweight. Did you run the liraglutide at a low dose or was it more of a standard weight-loss type dose? Wondering if a microdose would spare enough appetite to make it workable or if the suppression is just binary and hits you no matter what.
  • tracker_jade: Yeah that is exactly my worry, running two opposing programs at once. I do not have a hard gram target yet, that is kinda why I am asking here before I commit to anything. I am around 135 lb so anecdotally I would want at least 100g protein daily to not shortchange the tendon work, probably more like 120. The first couple weeks blunting you mentioned is what scares me because that is exactly when BPC and TB are ramping up too. 25mg eventually get their appetite back, or was it stuck the whole t
