TB4-Frag vs full TB-500 for a stubborn tendon, anyone switched and noticed a difference?

Been running BPC-157 injectable for a shoulder thing that's been dragging on for months. Anecdotally I feel like it helped early on but I've plateaued hard. Thinking about adding TB-500 but I keep seeing people mention TB4-Frag instead, the shorter fragment that keeps the actin-binding part.

The pitch seems to be better tissue penetration because it's a smaller molecule. But does that actually translate to anything you can feel? The dosing range I've seen thrown around is 200-750 mcg daily or every other day, which is pretty wide. Half-life is short, like 2-4 hours, so I'm wondering if that means you need to dose more often than you would with full TB-500.

For anyone who's used both, did the fragment version seem to do anything the full-length didn't? Or is it mostly marketing? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the swap or if I should just go with standard TB-500 and call it a day.

Also curious about injection site irritation with the fragment. I already get some with BPC-157 and I don't wanna stack two things that both make my skin angry.

  • dad_marcus: I ran full tb-500 first for a medial elbow thing that dragged on for ages, then switched to tb4-frag basically out of curiosity. Honestly didn't notice a massive difference between them? Both seemed to help a bit but it was subtle and slow, not night and day. The fragment stung more at the injection site for me, like noticeably more than full-length. So if you're already getting irritation from bpc that's worth thinking about. The short half-life on the fragment is real, so if you go that route
  • kim174: The stinging thing is interesting because i basically never see anyone mention that. I figured it was just me being dramatic about subq irritation. Did you do anything different with the frag prep or just pin it straight? Kinda wondering if the smaller peptide is just more irritating to tissue locally or if its a formulation thing.
  • rational_nomad: Here's a thought: the site sting you mentioned lines up, I ran a similar dose split twice daily for a few weeks and the injection site reaction was definitely more pronounced with the fragment. Not sure if it's the shorter chain or just how it formulated, but worth factoring in if you're already tender from the BPC. Also, the half-life thing is real, i noticed i had to stay more consistent with timing or the effects seemed to fade faster between doses. Just my two cents on the practical side of
