CJC-1295 + ipamorelin saturation dose, is 100 mcg actually backed by anything

Ive been running CJC-1295 without DAC paired with ipamorelin for about 8 weeks now and honestly the appetite suppression and sleep effects are what I notice most, not the body comp stuff everyone talks about.
But heres what bugs me. Everyone repeats this 100 mcg saturation dose number like its gospel and I cant find where that actually comes from. People say "the receptors saturate at 1 mcg/kg" and then somehow that becomes 100 mcg flat for everyone regardless of bodyweight and Im just supposed to accept it.
Im about 130 lbs so if the 1 mcg/kg thing were real my saturation point would be way lower than someone at 200 lbs. But nobody seems to adjust for that, they just say 100 mcg 3x a day and move on.
For me personally dropping to 75 mcg of each seemed to feel about the same as 100, maybe slightly less water retention but that could be a hundred other things. I just dont think we have clean human data on this and I wish people would stop presenting it like its settled.
Does anyone actually have a source for the saturation claim or is this just something that got repeated enough times that it became forum fact? Genuinely asking because I like the stack but I want to understand the dosing logic better instead of just copying what everyone else does.

- sleep_coastal: Anecdotally I've wondered the same thing for years. The 1 mcg/kg number seems to trace back to some early GHRP-2/GHRP-6 dose-response work, possibly from DatBtrue's old writeups, which got distilled into "100 mcg" because it's a clean number for an average-weight adult male. That's a guess on my part though, I've never been able to pin down a single clean human study that establishes a hard saturation ceiling for ipamorelin specifically. For me, I noticed diminishing returns somewhere around 75
- lifts_mito: Yeah the DatBtrue origin makes sense, thats probably exactly where it propagated from and then just became forum lore nobody questioned. Interesting that your diminishing returns hit around 75-80 too because thats basically where I landed when I dropped from 100. Makes me think theres something real there even if we cant point to a clean study. Did you ever try going below 75 and notice a meaningful dropoff, or did you just settle there and stop tinkering?
- grant95: Yeah I reckon you're spot on about the DatBtrue origin, I went down that same rabbit hole a while back and never found a clean human trial for ipamorelin specifically either. Most of it seems borrowed from GHRP-6 dose-response curves and then just copy-pasted across the whole GHRP family. For me at about 60kg I noticed sleep effects maxing out around 60 mcg, going higher just gave me more hunger the next morning which kind of defeated the purpose. Reckon bodyweight scaling makes more sense than
