Adding Thymulin to a Wolverine stack for post-op recovery, anyone tried this combo?

I'm about 6 weeks post-op from a tendon repair and I've been running a basic Wolverine setup, BPC-157 500mcg daily and TB-500 2.5mg twice a week. Healing seems to be going okay but honestly slower than I hoped. Anecdotally I felt like the same combo moved faster on a previous ankle issue so I'm wondering if it's just me being impatient this time around.

I started reading about Thymulin and the immune support angle interests me. The zinc-dependent T-cell maturation thing makes sense to me on paper for recovery since you want good immune signaling during tissue repair. Typical dose range seems to be 1-5mg two to three times a week.

My question is whether anyone has actually stacked Thymulin alongside BPC-157 and TB-500 and noticed a difference in healing speed or quality. I'm curious about timing too. Do you dose Thymulin on the same days as TB-500 or keep it on off days to spread things out? Also wondering about the zinc cofactor thing. Do you supplement zinc separately or is dietary zinc enough for Thymulin to actually work?

Not trying to overcomplicate a stack that's already working but I feel like I'm stuck in a plateau with this recovery and I'm tempted to add something. Any real-world feedback would help.

  • recovery116: I havent tried thymulin myself so take this with a grain of salt, but im kinda in the same boat with recovery stuff and been reading up on immune signaling peptides lately. Fwiw the zinc cofactor thing stood out to me too, seems like if youre deficient it might not do much regardless of dose. Have you had zinc levels checked? ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ Im skeptical about stacking more stuff when something is already working though. 6 weeks post tendon repair doesnt sound unreasonable for slow progress honestly, tendo
  • nerdy_macros: The zinc point is a good one tbh. Thymulin is actually a zinc complex, not just zinc-dependent, so without adequate zinc the peptide literally cannot form its active conformation. But I have not seen good human data on whether supplementing zinc alongside actually improves outcomes. Mostly animal and in vitro stuff from what I found. I agree with you on the stacking skepticism. Tendon repair at 6 weeks being slow is very normal, avascular tissue heals on its own timeline. The ankle comparison m
  • sanjay_j: The zinc point is a good one fwiw. Thymulin is literally a zinc-peptide, the metal sits in the active complex and without it the molecule basically falls apart functionally. So if someone is borderline deficient, throwing more peptide at it probably does very little. But I agree more with your second point. Tendons are avascular compared to muscle, 6 weeks is not slow at all for a repair. The ankle probably felt faster because it was a different tissue or a less severe injury. I would want to s
  • tracker_jade: Yeah the zinc thing is a really good catch, I hadn't thought about the functional dependency like that. I do take a basic multivitamin with zinc but I have no idea where my levels actually sit. Probably worth checking before bothering with Thymulin at all. And you're probably right about the ankle comparison. That was more of a ligament issue, less severe, way better blood supply. I think I'm just comparing apples to oranges and getting frustrated. My next follow-up is in about 10 days so I'll
  • tracker_jade: Yeah the ankle was a different tendon so you're probably right, I didn't think about blood supply differences. That actually makes me feel less impatient about it. The zinc complex thing is interesting. Do you have a sense of what adequate zinc levels even look like for something like this? Like would a basic zinc supplement cover it or are people testing before adding Thymulin?
  • tracker_jade: I haven't checked zinc yet but it's a I'll look into getting a serum test before adding anything. Tendon rehab does feel slower than the ankle, maybe just tissue differences. If I try thymulin I'd probably dose it on TB-500 days to keep the schedule simple.
