Follistatin 344 reproductive and cardiac side effects, anyone have bloodwork or real-world feedback?

Been looking into Follistatin 344 for recovery purposes and the side effect profile gives me pause. The profiles here flag reproductive effects and cardiac muscle effects as theoretical, but I haven't found much real-world discussion on either. Anecdotally I've seen people mention joint stress from rapid strength gains but almost nobody talking about whether they got labs done before and after a cycle.
My concern is the activin neutralization piece. Activin isn't just a myostatin pathway thing, it's involved in reproductive hormone regulation too. If you're binding activin A for 10 to 30 days, does that mess with FSH or LH in a way that shows up on labs? Has anyone here actually pulled hormone panels post-cycle?
Same question for cardiac effects. Skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle both respond to myostatin signaling. Theoretically you could get cardiac hypertrophy that isn't the good kind. Has anyone gotten an echo or at least checked BP regularly while running it?
I'm not gonna touch this one until I see some actual bloodwork feedback from people who ran it responsibly. Not looking for speculation, looking for people who actually tracked markers. What did you see?

- rational_squats: Here's a thought: I've been reading about Follistatin 344 on and off for a few years now, and you're spot‑on about the activin angle. I ran a very low‑key, self‑experiment type thing years back, nothing formal, just trying to see if it helped with a nagging elbow thing, and the one thing that stuck with me was how quiet the hormone side got. I didn't run bloodwork before and after like I should have, but I definitely felt a shift in libido and a weird "flat" feeling that I now suspect was relate
- engineer_kevin: That flat feeling is exactly what makes me nervous about the activin angle... Like you said FSH/LH don't just quietly dip without something going on upstream. Wish you'd had labs but i get it, most folks dont think to pull reproductive panels for a "recovery" compound. Did the libido thing resolve on its own after you stopped or did it linger a while? That'd tell us a lot about whether it's transient feedback suppression vs something stickier 🙌
- reid140: Yeah thats exactly the kind of thing that makes me nervous about playing with activin. The FSH/LH suppression is not some wild theory, activin directly signals through the pituitary. For me the whole appeal of tracking labs is catching stuff like that before you feel it. Did you ever go back and pull hormones later to see if it bounced or did you just ride it out?
- tracker_jade: I haven't actually run it yet, that's why I'm digging into this stuff first. The activin-pituitary signaling is exactly what stopped me from just jumping in. Anecdotally the people I've seen post about running it never mention pulling labs at all, which is kinda wild given what it could be doing downstream. Have you run it yourself or are you in the same boat, just researching before committing?
- tracker_jade: I didn't actually run it yet, so I don't have a personal libido experience to compare. I was asking preemptively because the activin angle spooked me enough to hold off. But you're right that most people don't think to pull reproductive panels for something marketed as recovery. Have you run it yourself and noticed that flat feeling?
- tracker_jade: That flat feeling is exactly what I'm worried about, so it's helpful to hear someone actually describe it. Did the libido thing resolve on its own after you stopped, or did it linger for a while? That's the piece I can't find any real-world timeline on. Also do you remember roughly how many days you ran it?
- sleep_coastal: I ran Follistatin 344 for 18 days subQ. Libido dipped around day 10 and stayed low through the cycle. After I stopped it bounced back to baseline in about a week, no lingering issues for me.
- tracker_jade: Did you pull any hormone panels during or after that cycle, or was the libido dip just something you noticed subjectively? I'm curious whether the FSH/LH actually shifted on paper or if it was more of a felt thing that resolved on its own.
