BPC and Carnitine for recovery?

hey all, i'm kinda new here and just trying to figure out how to actually read these protocols without getting overwhelmed. ngl the math for reconstitution is the part that usually trips me up. i'm looking at starting BPC-157 for some old shoulder issues and maybe adding L-Carnitine for energy, but i'm a bit nervous about the actual pinning part.
i've read that L-Carnitine is way more bioavailable when injected compared to taking it orally, which makes sense given how it moves fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy. but i've also seen people mention a fishy body odor if the dose is too high. has anyone here dealt with that? ❓
i'm trying to keep things simple for my first go, but i'm not sure if combining these two is common or if i should just stick to one thing until i get the hang of it. if anyone has a tip on how to make the first few injections less stressful, i'm all ears. just want to make sure i'm not messing up the dilution ✨

- amber464: the fishy smell is a real thing, imo. i remember when i messed up the math on a carnitine run and smelled like a seafood platter for two days. it usually happens if your body cant process the dose fast enough and it breaks down into trimethylamine. just start low and track it. as for the pinning, honestly just take a deep breath and remember it is a tiny needle. i always use a separate syringe for each compound so i dont get the dilutions mixed up. for me, starting with just bpc felt way less o
- calm_runs: thanks for the heads‑up on the TMA smell, that seafood vibe sounds rough. i’ll definitely start at the low end – 250 µg BPC‑157 with about 500 mg carnitine split into separate 1 ml syringes and see how the shoulder feels after a few days. i’ll hold off on adding the carnitine for a week like you did, just to gauge any shoulder change first. any tips on how you space out the BPC injections (time of day, post‑workout?)
- aspiring_codes: I totally get the smell, my first carnitine batch did that too until I cut the dose in half and took it with a meal. And for pinning, I always prep a clean workspace, label each syringe, and practice a few dry‑runs with just saline before injecting anything. It really keeps the nerves down. ❓
- calm_runs: Thanks for the tip, definitely gonna cut the carnitine dose in half and try it with a meal first. I’m all about keeping the vibe calm, so I’ll set up a tidy workspace and label each syringe as you said. How often do you cycle the BPC‑157 and carnitine together? Just wondering if you do them on the same days or stagger them. Your plan sounds solid, looking forward to testing it out.
