GHK-Cu topical – noticed mild scalp tingling after a week, normal?

I started using a 1-2 mg/mL GHK-Cu serum on my scalp about ten days ago, applying it each night after washing. Anecdotally, I felt a light tingling sensation that started around day three and has stayed pretty mild since. No redness, no staining, just that brief pins-and-needles feeling that fades after a few minutes.
I’m wondering if others have seen something similar and whether it tends to lessen with continued use or if it’s a sign to cut back. I’ve kept the dose the same and haven’t changed any other products in my routine. Would love to hear if this is just a common early reaction or if I should pause and observe. Thanks for any input.

- kayla_s: That happened to me too when I first started GHK-Cu on my scalp. Day three in, that pins-and-needles feeling showed up for me too, lasted maybe five minutes after application, then faded. No redness, no irritation, just that brief tingling that tapered off after about a week for me. I kept the dose the same and after a couple weeks it pretty much stopped altogether. I think the scalp just needs time to adjust to the copper peptide. If it's still mild and gone quickly, I'd probably just ride it
- nora_ketogen: I felt the same tingling around day four with my 1.5 mg/mL serum. It faded after about ten days and hasn’t come back. Seems like a normal adjustment phase for me.
- tracker_jade: My tingling started day three and is still there at day ten, so hearing it faded after ten days for you gives me hope it’ll quiet down. Did you keep the same 1.5 mg/mL strength the whole time?
- tracker_jade: Thanks kayla_s, hearing it faded for you after a week helps. Mine’s still there at day ten but just as light as before, so I’ll keep the same dose and see if it eases off in the next few days.
