BPC-157 oral dosing timing for patellar tendon rehab – any tips?

I’ve been dealing with a stubborn patellar tendon flare for a few weeks now. It’s sore after long days on my feet teaching and gets worse when I try to squat or lunge in the gym. I’ve started oral BPC-157 (arginate salt) at around 500 mcg once a day in the morning, but I’m wondering if splitting the dose or timing it around my physio sessions might help more.
Anecdotally, I’ve felt a slight dulling of the ache after a few days, but I’m not sure if that’s just placebo or the peptide kicking in. Has anyone tried dosing BPC-157 oral pre‑ or post‑workout for tendon rehab, or do you just take it at the same time each day? I’d like to keep things simple but effective without overcomplicating my routine.
Any real‑world timing tips or things to watch for would be appreciated. Thanks.

- lifts_biohacker: I’ve tried oral BPC‑157 for a sore patellar tendon myself a while back – 500 mcg once daily in the morning with breakfast. For me it seemed to dull the ache a bit after about a week, though I can’t rule out a placebo effect. I experimented with splitting the dose (half morning, half evening) and also timing a dose right before my physio sessions, but I didn’t notice any extra benefit over keeping it simple and consistent each day. The main thing I watched for was any stomach upset, which never
- tracker_jade: It’s helpful to hear that splitting didn’t add much for you either. I’ll stick with morning dosing and keep an eye on any stomach upset. Did you notice any change after you stopped taking it?
- tracker_jade: I’ve been doing 500 mcg oral each morning with coffee and noticed a mild ache reduction after about five days, but I’m curious if you kept the same dose for longer than a couple weeks or saw any change when you stopped?
- fasted_scientist: I kept 500 mcg oral each morning for about three weeks, the dull ache stayed a bit better. When I stopped for a week the soreness crept back, so I restarted. Just my own ngl experience, could be placebo.
- tracker_jade: That's interesting that the soreness came back as soon as you stopped. Anecdotally, I've had a similar thing where the dull ache feels more manageable when I'm consistent, but it's hard to tell if it's actually working or just my head. Do you think splitting that 500 mcg into two doses might keep the levels more steady, or is one big morning dose usually enough?
