BPC-157 oral for a stubborn patellar tendon flare, any timing tips?

Hey folks, I’ve been dealing with a patellar tendon flare that’s been hanging around for a few weeks despite regular PT and ice. I started oral BPC-157 at 500 mcg once daily in the morning, mostly because I hate needles and figured the gut‑healing angle could help overall. Anecdotally, I noticed less morning stiffness after about five days, but the pain during squats hasn’t shifted much.

I’m wondering if splitting the dose, say 250 mcg pre‑workout and 250 mcg post‑workout, might line up better with the rehab stimulus, or if taking it later in the day works better for tendon remodeling. Has anyone tried timing oral BPC-157 around specific physio sessions and felt a difference in load tolerance or recovery speed? Just looking for real‑world tweaks before I consider bumping the dose or adding something else. Thanks.

  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I’ve taken oral BPC‑157 at 500 mcg first thing in the morning for a sore patellar tendon a while back. I did notice the morning stiffness ease after about a week, but the pain during loaded squats stayed pretty much the same. I tried splitting it 250 mcg pre‑ and post‑workout for a couple of sessions and didn’t feel any clear change in load tolerance or recovery speed – it could just be placebo or my baseline variability. Have you tracked your pain with a simple scale before and after each
  • tracker_jade: I haven’t used a pain scale, just noticed the stiffness drop after five days while squat pain stayed the same. Logging a 0‑10 rating before and after each dose tweak could show if timing actually shifts load tolerance. Did you see any change in swelling or just pain?
  • ingrid_g: Yeah i had almost the exact same pattern, morning stiffness went first but squat pain barely budged for like two weeks before it slowly started calming down. The split dose thing i tried too and honestly couldn't tell a difference either, could just be that oral just takes longer to show up in the tendon itself compared to local injection. The pain scale idea is smart though, i wish i had done that from the start instead of just vibes-based tracking, i kept second-guessing whether anything was a
