Trying MK-677 15mg at night – any real sleep or hunger changes you’ve noticed?

I’ve been on MK-677 15mg each evening for about three weeks now, mostly because I liked the idea of a simple oral GH secretagogue instead of juggling multiple injections. Ngl the first few nights I felt pretty wiped out in the morning, like a mild hangover, and my appetite went through the roof – I was snacking on toast and cereal way past my usual bedtime. After a week the grogginess eased but the hunger stayed pretty constant, and I’ve noticed a bit of puffiness in my fingers and ankles, especially after salty meals.

Sleep quality feels a touch deeper, I’m waking less often, but I can’t tell if that’s the MK-677 or just me finally getting into a better routine. Has anyone else seen a similar trade‑off between sleep improvement and increased hunger/water retention? Curious if dropping the dose to 10mg would keep the sleep benefit while easing the sides, or if that’s just wishful thinking. Would love to hear what’s worked for you lot.

  • tracker_jade: I tried MK-677 at 10mg nightly for a couple weeks and the morning grogginess was much milder, but I still felt noticeably hungrier, especially for carbs late at night. My sleep did feel a bit more solid – fewer wake ups – though I can’t say for sure it wasn’t just my schedule tightening up. Swelling in my hands and ankles showed up only when I pushed past 15mg, so dropping back seemed to help there. Has anyone found a sweet spot where the sleep edge stays but the appetite and water gain ease of
  • fasted_scientist: I dropped to 7.5mg after two weeks; the morning fog lifted and hunger dropped a bit, but I also felt the sleep depth wasn’t as noticeable. Might be a trade‑off; bloods would tell more.
  • jake_hrv: Yeah I ran 12.5mg for ten days and the hunger dropped a bit while sleep stayed solid, but the water weight crept back after a week. Anyone track fasting glucose or IGF‑1 to see if the dose actually tracks with the effect?
  • fasted_scientist: Ngl I’ve been thinking about dropping to 10mg to see if the hunger eases without losing the sleep bump, but I haven’t touched the dose yet. 5mg matches what I’m seeing with the puffiness after salty meals. Have you checked fasting glucose or IGF‑1 at any point to see if the dose actually lines up with those markers? I’m curious if a lab read would help decide whether to stick with 15mg or go lower.
