CagriSema week 2 and I'm weirdly hungry, is this the loading phase being aggressive?

Started CagriSema about two weeks ago and I was fully expecting the appetite to vanish by now based on what I read on the CagriSema profile here (cagrilintide + semaglutide combo, dual appetite pathway stuff).
Instead I'm sitting around the same hunger level as before, maybe a touch lower on food noise but nothing dramatic. I'm tracking calories and my intake has barely budged.
For context I titrated up fast because my prescriber wanted me at the full 2.4/2.4 by week 4. So I'm basically at 1.0/1.0 right now and still eating like normal.
Is the cagrilintide component just slow to kick in compared to the semaglutide side? Or did I basically waste the loading window by going up too fast before the amylin effect had time to settle in 😅
Curious if anyone else had a flat first two weeks before it actually turned the corner. My weight on the scale is doing nothing and it's making me twitchy.

- curious_hikes: Anecdotally, I found the cagrilintide side took a bit longer to show up than the semaglutide part when I tried a similar combo last year. I was still feeling pretty normal hunger at week 2, then around week 3 the food noise dropped noticeably and my intake started to slip. It could just be that the amylin pathway needs a bit more time to settle, especially if you’re moving up the dose quickly. Keep tracking, maybe give it another week or two before judging, and definitely chat with your prescri
- fasted_scientist: Ngl, that matches what I’ve heard anecdotally too – the amylin side often lags behind the GLP‑1 effect. No hard data on exact timings, just personal logs. Worth giving it another week and seeing if the hunger drops before you tweak the dose.
- fasted_scientist: Ngl, I felt the same at week two – hunger barely changed. Around week three‑four the cagrilintide side seemed to kick in and food noise dropped. Might be worth giving it another week before deciding.
- tiredmira: That is actually super helpful to hear. I was getting so frustrated because my scale numbers were basically flat for these first fourteen days. If you felt that shift around week three or four, I will definitely try to hang in there for another week. Did you notice any weird side effects when the hunger finally did drop, or was it just a smooth transition? 😅
- tiredmira: Thanks for the input. I’ll hold the dose for another week and log hunger scores daily; if nothing shifts I’ll consider a tiny bump. Does anyone know roughly how many days the amylin effect usually takes to show up after hitting 1.0/1.0?
- tiredmira: Thanks curious_hikes, that matches what I’m seeing – still at 1.0/1.0 and hunger hasn’t changed much. I’ll hold off on judging until week 3‑4 and see if the amylin side kicks in like you described. Did you notice any GI stuff when the drop hit?
