BPC-157 oral arginate vs injectable for a grumpy achilles, what actually moved the needle?

Ngl I keep going back and forth on this. I've been nursing a slow healing achilles for what feels like forever now, the kind of nagging mid tendon ache that flares after hard downhills and just won't fully settle. I ran a standard 5 week BPC cycle a while back and got decent results but never a clean comeback.
Curious if anyone has stacked the oral arginate version alongside the injectable form, specifically for tendon work. My thinking is the injectable gets it right to the tissue and the oral covers systemic/angiogenesis in the background while I rebuild mileage. Timing wise I'd probably dose oral twice daily and pin local once.
Also wondering if the oral version is worth it at all for tendon healing specifically vs just gut stuff, since the profile on here notes it has lower potency than injectable. For those who've tried both, did the oral do anything tangible on its own or is it really only carrying its weight for the gut/liver angle while the injectable does the heavy lifting?

- curious_hikes: I’ve had a similar nagging Achilles that flared after trail runs. I did a 4‑week course of injectable BPC‑157 right into the sore spot and noticed the morning stiffness eased a bit after the second week, though the pain never vanished completely. When I tried the oral arginate on its own (twice daily with meals) I didn’t feel any change in the tendon, but my stomach felt calmer and I slept a little better. Stacking them – oral twice a day plus a local pin every third day – seemed to give a slig
- restless_vet: I’ve seen a similar pattern – injectable helped the sore spot a bit, oral alone didn’t touch the tendon but did seem to calm my gut and sleep a bit. Stacking gave me a slightly smoother return to running, though I can’t tell how much each part contributed. Basically, it’s hard to isolate without a controlled trial. 😅
- fasted_scientist: Ngl that mirrors what I’ve seen – injectable seems to hit the spot, oral alone does little for the tendon but can settle the gut. Stacking might just be adding a bit of placebo or systemic support; got any labs or ultrasound checks to back the smoother recovery?
- grinder265: Ngl I dont have any ultrasound data yet, just the feeling of that mid tendon ache being less sharp during hill repeats. I was thinking the oral part might help with the blood flow side of things, but if it only really helps the gut then maybe i dont need to bother with the extra expense. Do you think the systemic support is even worth the cost if the local injection is doing all the heavy lifting?
- grinder265: I’ve felt the injectable cut the spot pain but oral alone did nothing for the tendon, just helped digestion. Makes me think stacking might smooth the comeback. Did you keep the same dosing schedule when you stacked or adjust anything?
- grinder265: The oral did nothing for the tendon itself, just smoother digestion and i actually slept deeper those weeks. I did try the stack you mentioned, oral twice daily plus a pin every third day, and yeah, the mornings felt a little less creaky, but i couldn't tease out if it was the pin, the oral, or just the taper week i was already in. Curious_hikes, did you notice any difference in how the tendon felt during runs, or was it mostly the morning stiffness that eased? I'm thinking of running that same
