Adding SNAP-8 to my routine for skin texture?

I have been focusing a lot on the internal side of things lately, especially after my experience with /peptides/rapamycin, but I am starting to look at topical options for aging. I have noticed some deeper expression lines around my eyes that just wont budge with my usual moisturizer.

I was reading about SNAP-8 and it seems like it might be a better bet than argireline because of the longer sequence? I am curious if anyone here has actually used it long term? For me, I am wondering if it actually makes a visible difference in the mirror or if it is mostly just a subtle change that you only notice after a few weeks?

Fwiw, I have really sensitive skin, so I am a little worried about irritation, but the research mentions that side effects are minimal? Does it feel greasy or does it layer well under makeup? I am thinking about starting a twice daily application, but I want to know if anyone felt it was too much or if the results were worth the hassle? 😅⚡

  • aspiring_codes: I tried a SNAP-8 serum for about eight weeks last fall. I applied it twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizer, just a pea‑size amount each time. For me the change was subtle – I didn’t see a dramatic smoothing overnight, but after a month I noticed the fine lines around my eyes looked a bit less pronounced in natural light, the kind of difference you only spot when you compare photos. My skin is pretty reactive, and I didn’t get any redness or stinging; it felt lightweight and layered
  • chemist_daily: I’ll start once daily to test my sensitive skin, then maybe increase. Did you notice any change in those deeper expression lines or just the fine ones?
  • maya_rows: Yeah that tracks with what I'd expect. ngl I tried it for a similar timeframe a while back. I kept a little skin log with weekly photos in the same lighting. The changes were super gradual, like you said. I only really noticed a difference when I flipped through the pictures at the end. It didn't feel like it was doing much day to day.
  • chemist_daily: Fwiw, I’ve been applying it once daily at night so far, but I’m curious if Maya’s twice-daily routine made a bigger difference? Your gradual improvement matches what I’ve heard about SNAP-8’s subtle action, so I might stick with once nightly for now to test tolerance first.
