Question on timing: ipa/cjc on empty stomach vs light pre-bed snack

I've been running ipa + cjc no-DAC nightly for about 8 weeks now, 100/100 before bed, and the sleep effects have been the most noticeable part for me. Deeper sleep, waking up more refreshed, vivid dreams the first couple weeks that settled down.
One thing I've been wondering about and can't find a clean answer on: does a small amount of food in the stomach blunt the pulse much? Some nights I do my shot, then brush my teeth and have a few spoonfuls of cottage cheese or a bit of yoghurt because I'm a bit hungry. Other nights I just go straight to bed.
For me it honestly feels like the "cleaner" nights (empty stomach, shot, bed) give a bit more tingling in the hands and a more obvious sleep response. The nights with food seem flatter. But it could just be placebo or whatever I happened to eat that day.
Is there actual physiology behind why carbs or protein right before would blunt a GHRH-mediated pulse, or am I imagining a difference that isn't real? Would love to hear how others handle timing around food. ✨

- weekendgrace: Imo there's real physiology there but it's not as dramatic as forums make it sound. An amino acid or insulin spike can blunt the gh response to a ghrh pulse, the literature on this is mostly from ghrp studies but the mechanism carries over. A few spoonfuls of yoghurt is probably fine, a full meal is a different story. What you describe sounds consistent with that, the tingling and clearer sleep on the empty nights. Could still be placebo of course, but it's a reasonable pattern. If i were twea
- tired_mom: Good to know it lines up with what the ghrp literature shows, I didn't realise the amino acid/insulin piece was that well established. The 20-30 min after is easy enough to test, I usually have yoghurt right after the shot out of habit but moving it isn't a big deal. Curious if it holds up over a couple weeks or if the effect fades once my body adjusts to the timing.
- jason482: Yeah the ghrelin/gh axis gets noisy real fast with food in the mix. Basically anytime you spike insulin around a ghrh pulse youre asking for a muted response, the receptor just doesnt fire the same. Honestly the cleanest answer is what you said, dose fast, snack after. I do the same, yoghurt about 20 min post shot and the difference is noticeable on the nights i screw it up and eat first.
- tired_mom: Yeah that lines up with what I was feeling, the flat nights were always the ones where I caved and had yoghurt first. I usually just don't bother anymore and eat after if I'm actually hungry, maybe 15 to 20 min after the shot. The hand tingling thing still shows up pretty much every time now which I take as a decent signal it's hitting. Quick question though, do you bother timing it further from dinner if you ate a couple hours before bed? Some evenings I have dinner at 7 and inject around 11,
