CagriSema vs straight sema, has anyone actually compared the two?

I was on plain semaglutide for around 8 months and lost a decent amount but the last couple of months I completely stalled, even after bumping the dose. Appetite came back a bit too. I've been reading up on CagriSema since it pairs cagrilintide with sema and the dual satiety angle sounds interesting on paper.

For those who have actually tried both, how did CagriSema compare to sema alone for you? Did you notice the appetite suppression feeling different, like more of a "I'm full" thing rather than just not being hungry? And did the stall break or was it basically the same plateau just delayed?

Also curious about side effects. Sema nausea was rough at first but settled after a few weeks. Is the amylin side of it worse on the GI front? I'm a bit cautious about stacking another mechanism when my body already complained about the GLP-1 part.

I do track my weight, waist, and fasting glucose weekly so happy to compare notes with anyone running numbers too.

  • labrat_frugal: Ngl the satiety description matches what I've heard from a couple people I chat with, one described it as more of a "I just can't eat another bite" feeling versus the quieter "meh, food isn't interesting" vibe from sema alone. But that's anecdote, could easily be expectation bias. On stalls, plateaus on plain GLP-1s are super common and usually the fix is recalibrating calories or adding resistance work before reaching for another compound. Cagrilintide is interesting mechanistically, the amyli
  • sarah401: Yeah the "can't eat another bite" framing is exactly what I've been trying to put into words. The sema effect for me now is more like I could eat, I just don't really want to, and that wears off when I get bored or stressed. Fair point on the calorie/recomp angle, ngl I probably let that slip while hoping the next peptide would do the heavy lifting. I actually started lifting heavier again two weeks ago and my waist is moving in the right direction again, so maybe the stall was more on me than
  • sasha_j: Yeah the "can't eat another bite" vs "meh" distinction rings true for me too. Sema made food just kinda boring, cagri on top felt like actual fullness kicked in sooner. On the stall point though, I'd push back a little. Recalibrating calories sounds tidy but most people I know weren't tracking macros to begin with, they were just eating less because the drug made them. When appetite creeps back, telling them to "recalibrate" is a bit hand-wavy. Resistance work helps for sure, no argument there.
  • sarah401: Yeah that's a fair point actually, "recalibrate" does sound a bit hand-wavy when I say it out loud... Ngl I track everything so it's easy for me to forget most people just wing it on these things. The fullness vs meh thing lined up well for you though, did it hit you straight away or was there a ramp like with plain sema? Mine took maybe 3 weeks before the proper satiety signal kicked in and I'm wondering if that delay is just me.
