BPC-157 oral vs injectable for a stubborn achilles tendon, what have you actually felt?

Hey so I am about 6 weeks into dealing with a grumpy achilles, the kind that feels fine in the morning and then screams at me after a short run. Physio is going well but progress is slow, probably because I keep sneaking in extra walks with the dog and not listening when I should.

I have been reading through the BPC-157 profiles on here and I keep going back and forth in my head. The injectable form seems to be what everyone talks about for tendon stuff, but the oral arginate version is appealing because no needles and apparently it still hits the gut and systemic inflammation side. For an achilles specifically, which one have people actually felt doing something?

Also timing question, does it matter if I dose it 30 mins before my physio session or after? Half life is around 4 hours either path it seems. And would stacking it with anything for tendons be overkill, or is BPC-157 alone the move for the first month?

Not chasing miracles, just want to give this thing a proper chance before I consider anything more drastic. Keen to hear what worked for others, even if it is just placebo, tbh placebo at this point I will take.

  • sofia_k: Honestly for a grumpy achilles I would not overthink the route too much. The injectable gets more chatter because people think its more reliable for tendon stuff, but I know a couple of mates who swear the oral arginate version did more for them than pinning did, just took a bit longer to notice. With a 4 hour half life either way, I would not fuss over pre or post physio timing, pick a slot you will actually stick to and keep it consistent, thats the real win. Stacking wise, BPC alone for the
  • devin_swims: Honestly that is kind of where my head was leaning tbh, just wanted to hear it from someone who has actually run both. The "pick a slot and stick to it" advice is what I needed to hear because I was about to start optimising timing before I even started lol. So if you were going oral arginate for an achilles, what kind of daily amount did your mates land on, and how long before they felt something actually shift? Also did they run it every day or cycle it off?
  • fasted_scientist: I'm with you on sticking to one variable, ngl that's the bit most people cock up. But i'm a bit sceptical that the oral arginate actually beats subq for tendon issues, where's the data on that? Not saying your mates are wrong, just curious what they actually felt differently.
  • devin_swims: Tbh that is exactly the question I am stuck on. Nobody I have spoken to has actually tried both on the same tendon, they all just swear by one or the other. Most of the "oral works" crowd are people using it for gut stuff, not Achilles. So yeah I am leaning subq but wanted to hear it from someone who has felt the difference, not just read a profile.
